The Rising Sun girls soccer team celebrated Senior Night with an 8-0 triumph over Perryville Tuesday, October 20.
Jackie Barbon and Jillian Seay each scored a pair of goals. Barbon had both of her team's first half goals for the second straight game. Jackie Barbon tallied twice in the first half to propel the Rising Sun girls soccer team to a 2-1 triumph over visiting North Harford Monday afternoon, October 13.
The end result was impressive but ultimately somewhat unsatisfying.

Tying one of the state's premier programs is a notable accomplishment but the Tigers were left to wonder what could have been. Emily Caldarelli scored a minute into the game and added three second half goals as the Elkton girls soccer team topped host Perryville 7-1 Wednesday afternoon.

The Battle of the Bergs is tied. Coach Matt Berg's Harford Tech girls soccer team topped Mikaela Berg's Rising Sun squad 1-0 Monday, September 28. The Rising Sun girls soccer team opened the season with a 3-1 triumph over host Elkton Tuesday night, September 15.
All of the game's goals were scored in the first half. The Perryville girls soccer team lost its season opener 7-1 to visiting Bohemia Manor Monday, September 14.
Under first-year head coach Mary Dunman, the Perryville girls soccer team is looking to improve on its three-win season last fall.
"Practices have been a joy," Dunman said. "It's a hard-working group. Realistically, the girls want to improve on last year with our overall play on the field and win more games." |
